Theater Rental Information

​Las Vegas Academy of the Arts is a public high school dedicated to arts instruction. The school maintains three theaters: Black Box Theater, seats 80-120; Lowden Theater, seats 675; and the Performing Arts Theater, seats 1,100.

 

As LVA sponsored and student performances take priority, dates for Non-LVA or Non-CCSD events are limited. 

 

General information regarding theater rentals.

  • An in-person meeting and tour of the school are required before approval for rental.

  • All required paperwork must be submitted to the LVA Activities and Operations office 45 days in advance.

  • Every rental agreement must include funding for a theater manager and custodian for the complete use of the facility.

  • A CCSD Police officer is required for all performances/events at the renter's expense. The office is scheduling a minimum of 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the event.

  • An LVA theater maintenance fee is assessed based on the theater requested.

  • Front of House personnel (seat patrons, distribute flyers, direct patrons) is available for an additional cost or donation.

  • Student theater technicians can assist with setting up performances and lighting during the show for an additional cost or donation.

Please remember the following when deciding to inquire about a Las Vegas Academy of the Arts Rental:

  1. We are a teaching facility, so ALL requests are considered based on our student performances, shows & rehearsals.

  2. Rentals are only available outside of school hours. Rentals are not available on Sundays.

  3. Costs associated with rentals: AC/HEAT, Custodial, Theater Manager, CCSD Police Services are required during all times when the theater is open to the public and performances. Based on the theater requested, a theater maintenance fee is charged. Additional costs may be charged for special technical requests.

  4. Technical support is available. Assistance is based on the event date, scheduling, and meeting with one of our theater managers.
