Alumni Spotlight
Alexandria Le
Major - Piano
Class of 2001

Dr. Alexandria Le is a Las Vegas native whose career blends world-class artistry with a deep commitment to education and community. Described by the Boston Musical Intelligencer as “a warm, animated, outgoing, confident, hyper-talented pianist whose greatest asset is her incomparable power to communicate,” she has performed in prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall and Salle Cortot, while also bringing music to community spaces such as Rikers Island and the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
Dr. Le earned sixteen first-place awards and performed with every regional orchestra in Las Vegas before continuing her studies at the Eastman School of Music and completing her Doctorate of Musical Arts at SUNY Stony Brook. In 2011, she made her Carnegie Hall solo debut as a laureate of the Pro Musicis International Award and later served as a pianist, teaching artist, and Fellow with Ensemble Connect, the Carnegie Hall–Juilliard–NYC Department of Education partnership.
After returning to Las Vegas in 2014, Dr. Le founded Notes with a Purpose, a nonprofit dedicated to using music’s transformative and healing power to serve the community. Through this work, she has brought music programs to underserved communities across Southern Nevada, reaching more than 12,500 students in 52 elementary schools and performing in shelters, libraries, hospices, and community centers. The organization is currently relaunching with the Carnegie Hall–affiliated Lullaby Project, continuing her mission of connecting artistry with community impact.
Dr. Le also serves as the Artistic Director of RDA Performs at the Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum in Las Vegas, where she curates musical experiences that connect classical performance with visual art and the unique desert landscape surrounding the museum.
An inclusive educator, Dr. Le teaches graduate-level Piano Pedagogy and Solo Piano Literature at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and maintains a private studio known for conservatory-level instruction for advanced pre-college and adult pianists, including professional performers and teachers. Her recordings on Centaur Records with flutist Suzanne Snizek are available on major streaming platforms and have been featured in documentary projects focused on humanitarian themes.
