Blythe (Beagley) Jordan Kerr
Major: Dance - Class of 1997

BLYTHE is the youngest daughter of performing artists Jennifer and Jerry Beagley. She booked her first national TV commercial at age 5 for the Disney Company, sparking a lifelong love of performing on screen and stage. Her TV and film credits include Crime Story, Honey, I Blew Up the Kid, Promised Land, and a Touched By An Angel episode alongside Rita Moreno and Carol Burnett. Some of her favorite stage roles include Polly in Crazy for You, Zelda in Singin’ in the Rain, and featured dance performances in A Chorus Line, Oklahoma, Anything Goes, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and The Music Man. As a child, she toured with the Nevada Dance Theatre in The Nutcracker and was a featured performer with the Los Angeles Civic Ballet.
Blythe began teaching dance at age 15 and, by 16, while still a junior at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts (LVA), she was cast as a performer by Disney. This launched an eight-year professional career as a singer/dancer with the company. Blythe would attend school during the day, catch a flight to California, rehearse at night, and return in time for class the next morning. Her Disney credits include The Lion King Celebration, The Main Street Electrical Parade, Starla in Club Buzz, Blythe in Minnie’s Christmas Party at Disneyland, Sandy in Goofy’s Beach Party Bash, and Dorothy in Chance to Shine at California Adventure Park.
She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Dance Theatre from Brigham Young University, where she also toured internationally as a BYU Young Ambassador, performing in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Pacific Northwest, and the Midwest. While at BYU, she was on faculty teaching Beginning and Intermediate Jazz in the Dance Department.
Throughout her career, Blythe has choreographed and directed over 100 productions for organizations including the Las Vegas Academy, BYU’s dancEnsemble, Hale Center Theatre, the Newport Beach Temple Celebration, Encore Academy of Entertainment, and more. She has also taught private voice lessons for over eight years. Her vocal performances are featured on the albums Curtain Time: Celebrating a Century of Song and Dance and A Woman’s Heart, available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
Blythe is a former member of the American Guild of Variety Artists and The Actors’ Equity Association.
Fueled by a profound belief in the arts' transformative power, Blythe has devoted her life to inspiring others through music. Now in her fourteenth year of co-producing the all-volunteer Hero Camp, she teaches dance to over 130 children ages 3–11, using music to help them understand their divine worth. She also offers an online course, Blythe’s Beginner Vocal Series (https://blythejordanvoice.mykajabi.com/), empowering female students around the world to build confidence while learning how to sing.
In 2009, Blythe was diagnosed with vertigo, beginning a four-year journey navigating persistent dizziness. Despite this challenge, she continued working as a dancer, director, and choreographer. Her personal health journey led her to explore natural approaches to healing, igniting a passion for health and wellness and a commitment to helping others find lasting relief through holistic methods.
Of all her roles, Blythe considers her most treasured to be that of wife to her husband Garrett and mother to their three exceptional sons. She remains deeply grateful to the teachers and administrators at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts—especially Robert Gerye for making LVA possible, Sylvia Tegano for her example of leadership, and Jeneane (Gallo) Huggins, who believed in her and recognized her as a valuable artist.
