DEAR LVA PARENTS AND NEW STUDENTS:
Hello and welcome to Las Vegas Academy of the Arts! Congratulations on your acceptance into our award-winning programs. We are excited to begin a new year with you and your student. An important part of starting the year off right is attending LVA’s New Student Orientation (NSO). Please find details below and feel free to contact us for more information.
What: LVA’s New Student Orientation
Where: Las Vegas Academy’s Performing Arts Center (PAC Theater)
955 East Clark Las Vegas, NV 89101
Park in LVA’s parking garage just West of the PAC Theater.
When: Monday, August 3, 2026, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Check-in begins at 7:30 AM).
Why: Students will learn how to navigate the LVA campus, hear valuable advice from upperclassmen, meet LVA teachers and administrators, connect with fellow incoming students, and enjoy fun activities throughout the experience!

RSVP: Please fill out the RSVP form below (whether you plan to attend or not). It will help us prepare and provide the best experience for each student.
Parents: Informational meetings with administration and counseling are from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM.

RSVP: Please scan the QR code below. → Complete the Google form by July 20, 2026. This will help us better prepare for the day! We are providing lunch, a T-shirt, and fun activities throughout the day. There is no cost to attend LVAs New Student Orientation. Walk-ins will be accepted, but a T-shirt is not guaranteed (pre-registration is preferred).

Orientation Agenda:
7:30 AM – 8:15 AM Check-in (PAC Theater) – Registration
→ Students wanting to run for a Student Council position will turn in their copy of their report card, typed resume, and typed paragraph. Interviews will take place at the end of Orientation day, from 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM.
8:30 AM – 11:00 AM Parent Meetings (Lowden Theater & Main building) – Parents have an informational meeting with administration in the Lowden Theater, then proceed to the Main building for a variety of meetings with the counseling department.
8:15 AM – 2:30 PM New Students (various locations across campus) – workshops, lunch, tour the campus & get familiar with the LVA Way! Be advised that the tour is outdoors. It is advised that you bring a hat, sunscreen & water.
2:30 PM Dismissal (PAC Theater)
2:30 PM – 3:00 PM Student Council Interviews
Student Council Information:
Principles of Leadership is LVA’s Student Council course. In this year-long course, students will play an integral role in promoting a positive school climate while developing their leadership skills. Students will also support school performances, activities, and clubs throughout the year.
Students interested in joining Student Council must bring the following required documents to check in on August 3rd:
● A copy of your most recent report card
(To qualify, students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA with no “F” grades or “U” marks in conduct/citizenship.)
● A typed paragraph responding to the prompt: “What does leadership mean to me?”
● A typed resume that includes work and/or volunteer experience
Student Council interviews will be held immediately following orientation from 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM.
Please note: Students selected as Student Council Representatives are required to enroll in the Principles of Leadership elective course.
DON’T FORGET TO WEAR YOUR NEW LVA ORIENTATION SHIRT ON THE 1ST FRIDAY OF THE SCHOOL YEAR (August 14TH)!
