LVA Technical Theater Teacher Named CCSD Secondary New Educator of the Year

The cast of LVA’s Theater Conservatory Spring Musical helped deliver a special surprise when Austin Fowler, LVA Technical Theater teacher, was announced as the CCSD Secondary New Educator of the Year.

In just five months at LVA, Mr. Fowler stepped in to lead the Technical Theater program after the previous director unexpectedly left. Although new to teaching, he has quickly established a culture of professionalism, high expectations, and strong technical training for students.

Under his guidance, students are gaining the skills and experience needed to pursue apprenticeships, internships, and competitive college programs. This year’s seniors will graduate with Career and Technical Education certification and pride in the many productions, performances, and events they helped bring to life for the LVA community.

Mr. Fowler’s work helps students succeed not only on stage, but on the stage of life. Congratulations to Mr. Fowler on this well-deserved recognition.
