Outstanding Performance for Large Ensemble in the Performing Arts High School division
Outstanding Performance for Small Jazz Combo in the Performing Arts High School division
Mac Tarrant received the award for Jazz Soloist on Tenor Saxophone in the Performing Arts High School division
Founded in 1976, the DownBeat Student Music Awards are considered among the most prestigious honors in jazz education. Each year, student ensembles from colleges, high schools, and middle schools submit recordings to be evaluated by professional musicians and educators. With these honors, the World Jazz Studies program now has a total of 29 DownBeat Awards!
