City of Las Vegas Student Art Contest for Spay and Neuter Campaign

The city of Las Vegas is launching an Art Contest to create a Spay and Neuter campaign! This is in collaboration with the Ward 2 office and the Department of Public Safety and open to students age 10-18.

 

Why are we doing this Art Contest?

  • Our goals are to 

    • Decrease animal overpopulation.

    • Reduce the number of animals that end up in animal shelters.

    • Educate the public about spay and neuter requirements in a friendly and visible manner.

 

Contest Rules:

  • Artwork - We are looking for some catchy artwork that will help the City grab the attention of our residents. The artwork must be related to spay and neuter.

  • Catchphrase - We are looking for a catchphrase to accompany the artwork. The catchphrase must be related to spay and neuter.

 

Deadline:

  • Thursday, November 7, 2024

 

Submissions:

 

The submissions will be judged by various departments within the City of Las Vegas.

 

Participants and Winners:

  • All contest participants will receive a certificate from the Department of Public Safety acknowledging their participation in bringing awareness to this issue.

  • The contest winner may have their artwork and phrases appear on billboards, city facilities, events, and much more.

  • Winner will receive a special commemorative item from the City of Las Vegas Department of Public Safety.

  • The winner may also appear at a City-sponsored event to receive recognition from the City of Las Vegas in the Fall of 2024.
