Piano Overview
The Piano Program at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts offers a rigorous study of classical and contemporary music. This program aims to develop mature pianists who can perform, compose, improvise, and conduct at a high level.
Program Curriculum
The Las Vegas Academy Piano Program focuses on developing several key facets of musicianship. Students work on developing and building their musical intelligence. The LVA program offers students two levels of Piano Program, intermediate and advanced. Each student will be provided with opportunities to perform, compose, and collaborate with their peers. In addition, students will have the opportunity to work with world-class musicians in workshops and masterclasses.
Program Outcome
The Piano Program at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts focuses not only on developing musicians but developing professionals. Students who complete the program will not only be ready for music at a college level, but they will also have developed soft skills such as time management, goal setting, teamwork and problem-solving.
Program Accolades
The Las Vegas Academy Piano Program has won the State Solo Command Performance in 2015, 2017, and 2018. The Piano Program also participates in the yearly musical at LVA. The Piano Program was also involved with the Yamaha Distance Education Program with the Smith Center, and the New York Yamaha Center for Distance Learning.
