Sachi Wins National Music Competition

Las Vegas Flutist Sachi Blevins is the National First Place Winner in the MTNA Junior Woodwinds Competition.

Las Vegas, NV 03/25/2023— Sachi Blevins, a Las Vegas native, competed as a National Finalist in the MTNA Junior Woodwinds Competition and was awarded National First Place Winner.

Sachi, the daughter of Mihoko and Rusty Blevins, earned the opportunity to compete at the National Finals after winning the Junior Woodwind Division of the MTNA Junior Woodwinds Competition at both the state and regional levels. A sophomore at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, Sachi has been studying flute for 5 years and is currently a student of Minji Park Wu.

As the national winner of this competition, Sachi received a cash prize and performed in the Winners Concert during the MTNA National Conference in Reno, NV on Sunday, March 26th.

The three-tiered MTNA competitions begin at the state level. Winners of each State Competition advance to the video-only division competition. Division winners then proceed to the National Competition Finals.
