Prior to the 2023–2024 school year, students entering Grade 7 or Grade 12 throughout Nevada are required to receive the meningococcal vaccine. The meningococcal vaccine is an immunization against meningitis. Students entering Grade 7 are also required to receive tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) vaccines. The requirement, approved by the State Board of Health as a State Regulation, is for all public, private, and charter schools in Nevada. Students may not be permitted to attend school without these vaccinations documented or with an approved exemption.
