Prior to the 2023–2024 school year, students entering Grade 7 or Grade 12 throughout Nevada are required to receive the meningococcal vaccine. The meningococcal vaccine is an immunization against meningitis. Students entering Grade 7 are also required to receive tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) vaccines. The requirement, approved by the State Board of Health as a State Regulation, is for all public, private, and charter schools in Nevada. Students may not be permitted to attend school without these vaccinations documented or with an approved exemption.
Read the attached document for full information including clinics and exemptions.
Additionally, immunizations will be offered at the CCSD Family Support Center beginning in March. Please refer to the information on the attached flyers.
